FieldFront Agricultural Workforce
Founder | Finance, Administration & Commercial Management
Built an agricultural recruitment services business from the ground up, serving domestic operations and U.S. employers under the H-2A program. The business operated primarily through fees per hired worker and contracts with defined recruitment targets.
- Owned contract budgets, cost estimates, expense allocation and control, payroll, payments to recruiters and suppliers, and accounting oversight.
- Evaluated new contracts and negotiated commercial proposals using expected costs, client budgets, required resources and margins.
- Prepared monthly cost and results reports, compared actuals with budgets and forecasts, and incorporated variance drivers into estimates for future operations.
Business development & leadership
- Developed the business concept and administrative, financial and operating processes, including control, analysis and reporting tools.
- Managed licensing and authorization processes in Mexico and the registration and structuring of the U.S. operation; reviewed legal and regulatory documents with external legal counsel.
- Developed client relationships and secured the first commercial contract through networking in the first months: domestic recruitment of approximately 100 workers for a grape-growing operation.
- Formed and coordinated a network of approximately 4 directly affiliated recruiters and an additional 4–5 independent recruiters. Recruiters handled candidate sourcing and selection; my focus was business management, finance, negotiation and coordination.
Operational analysis & reporting
- Prepared internal financial and operating performance reports and delivered performance reports to clients.
- Tracked worker performance, tenure and retention, and analyzed geographic origin and historical patterns to support planning for future recruitment processes.
- Tools used: Microsoft Excel, VBA, Power BI, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace / Google Sheets.
Typical domestic operations: approximately 50–100 workers.
